I just wanted you to know that we are doing well. I am writing e-mails and making a few follow-up calls in regards to new bookings. This is a difficult time of year to try and get into a church. Pastors are very busy with all of the special events that surround Christmas and the New Year.

Our Christmas was spent in Houston, where we were pleasantly surprised with a visit from my parents. They arrived Christmas day from Colorado. It has been great to have the family all together.

We will be heading back down to Mexico next week for about 10 days. We are working on making advancements that will help us facilitate more missions trips and groups this upcoming year.

Our strategy includes new churches being planted this next year and of course to do that we have to help the Mexican nationals have the finances and resources to establish these churches.

Well we will post more soon. I have two other ministry possibilities over the next 6-8 weeks, please pray for wisdom and God's favor.

ATV's on their way to Mexico!

One of the new elements that we are working on at El Saucillo for this coming summer months is a closed ATV course. This course has many challenges built in and laid out in such a manner as to take you through some wonderful desert scenery.

A safety course will be mandatory before entering the closed circuit challenge course. Safety equipment (helmets & gloves) will be provided also. We are gearing this not only as an activity for church groups that come to Mexico for a work trip or evangelism, but also as an outreach ministry and an introduction of our facilities to the residents of Saltillo Mexico.

I have become a registered wholesaler for these ATV's to lower the cost of each unit. What we need now is contributors to help us purchase them and import them into Mexico. These are 110cc's and total cost and importation will be $1650.00 USD. This will also include a helmet and gloves for each machine.

If you can help with this project please send your contributions to:

Allen Owens - 010630 - atv project

We have a work team from Calvary Baptist, in Uniontown, PA coming the end of Dec. and staying through the 12th of Jan. They will be helping with the goat corral expansion. Please pray for them that this would be an effective time and that God would allow us to make some great advancements.

In my next post I would like to introduce you to a great short term missions opportunity for English speaking Christians who are passionate about ministry and who are looking for a cross-cultural experience (3 months). More on that next time.

Please continue to lift us up in your prayers. Thank you to those of you who post and leave comments - it refreshes our souls - may God richly bless you!

Hei everyone,

Well it is now December and Merry CHRISTmas to all.
Allen is now in Mexico working and getting things ready for the summer it will come soon.
He has been making an ATV course that is suppose to be awsome. Now we are just praying that the Lord will somehow supply the ATV's.
He was also able to give his testimony in the church in Saltillo and from what I hear Allen did an awsome job talking in Spanish. That is pretty encouraging.

The girls are very excited about going down there to live and they were upset they were not able to go with their dad this time. They absolutely love it there and everything about the place and the people and the work.

We will be going down in January to get some more work done with a group from Uniontown and that will be fun.

We are also praying for living conditions for us as we go there this summer (pick-up truck and a fifth wheel). This is kind of a huge prayer request but I know that my Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills so to him nothing is impossible.

We are staying in Houston for the Christmas seasons and then the traveling starts up again. That is ok as long as I have a book and some birdseeds and not to forget the gameboy :)
